Stress Management...Can we live without stress
When you open the newspapers or magazines you will read all the time a lot of talking about stress and surprisingly in every level of our society and how to reduce it and thatEveryone needs successful stress management techniques.-- I agree with that but should we not think first what's all about stress;
since when exist the term stress? Why do we have in today's society so many problems with stress?
Has our today's living together produced that disease or did it come as a by-product with our society.
When did we hear the first time the word stress, came stress with the industrial revolution to our society or was stress already existing in generations before us but not with the termination "STRESS" as we know it today?
It is sometimes confusing...when I look back to my childhood nobody was really talking about stress; everyone was doing his job as good as one could and I can remember that all the people lived somehow happy. Okay, maybe not everyone was happy. Let's say besides the normal daily problems which exist in any society - and with folks living together - there was nobody talking about stress. In every generation before us... folks had problems this is the normal way of life at least until the day we live in paradise...
There were suicides perhaps not at the extend we have it in today's society, there were killing of other people but nobody claimed that the killer was stressed and he lost his mind, you read this nonsense in the daily newspapers and there will always be someone who has an excuse for -or blame it to something else and you might think that nobody is guilty for nothing because it is of his stress or what-so-ever.
Okay, there is no doubt about it that the word stress gave us new professional careers because there are so many different types of stress and every category almost has his own shrink-doc or therapist or what ever you call it.
Some specialist tell us stress is a result of poor nutrition, some tell us not having enough sex, pressure at work, the today's city traffic, the environment, the industry (unemployment), the level of education and so on and so on. We can count a lot more reasons of stress builder.
Nobody seems to know what the real reason for stress is, why some people feel stress in situations where other people don’t. Is stress not created since we were born..., the type of education we receive from our home (family), and doesn’t it start there? You hear as a child you can't get this or that because there is not enough money or the money is for more important things...so when you grow you think 'that you have to achieve more than your parents' to live a more unconcerned life or with more financial freedom.
You can go where you want or think of anything you like, but this type of thinking will bother you through your school-education and afterwards in your professional career. You have to do always more... to achieve more... and if you can’t reach it you will feel guilty that you didn't do enough for getting the result to reach your goal or putting your desire into reality.
When reflecting or meditating about your person maybe you can find the answer why you didn't achieve what you want, maybe you didn't desire it enough, or you didn't have the big vision...or you blame every one else and you never think that the problem might be with you. As they say 'everything you like to achieve you can do it'...you just have to form the right Mind-set. So, when reflecting about stress does that not have to do something with our thinking that we have forgotten to think more positive... and we never get rid of all those negative thinking.
Wouldn't we live together more harmoniously when we were thinking more positively and would this positive thinking not help us to live without stress?
Think about it...
For a better environment
Talk to you soon
